On April 3, 2009 the World Premier of “Elephants Without Borders” was held in Gaborone, Botswana, hosted by the Botswana Tourism Board (BTB) at the Botswana Defence Force Auditorium in Mogodishane. We were extremely proud and honored of the acceptance of our invitation and presence of the guest of honour, His Excellency, the President, Lieutenant General, Seretse Khama lan Khama.

The Director of Proceedings for the evening’s event was Mr. Joe Motse of BTB and the Welcoming remarks were presented by Honourable O.K. Mokaila, Minister of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism. After the film was shown, Dr.
Michael Chase addressed the audience and presented His Excellency, the President, Lt. Gen. S. K. I. Khama with a gift from EWB. A vote of thanks and recognition was delivered by Myra T. Sekgororoane, CEO of the Botswana Tourism Board. After the programme, a reception was held in the VIP lounge outside the theatre.

sincerest appreciation to Myra T. Sekgororoane and Keitumetse Setlang, both of BTB, and to Tina Chase.
Without hesitation yet with enthusiasm, Myra pledged the Botswana Tourism Board’s assistance and Keitumetse made certain that things happened efficiently. Tina dedicated herself to the Premier’s success from the early stages of planning until  following through to the event’s completion.
Without their commitment, the evening would not have happened, nor would’ve been such a marvelous event.

EWB is proud to say that the evening was a complete success and seemed to be enjoyed by all that attended. The BDF auditorium is a polished new facility, equipped perfectly for such an event. The caterers offered a delicious buffet and the decor was stunning. But most importantly, the feedback and responses received from the film was nothing less than enthusiastic with comments yielding much excitement and remarks as astonishing” and “quite memorable” . The audience was in awe of the stunning cinematography, which exemplified the beauty of Botswana and were impressed by the scale and enormity of the landscape that EWB’s project covers. The topic of many discussions afterwards was that of hope, support and prosperity towards the future, to conserve Africa’s elephants, and strive towards sensible solutions for both people and the wildlife that must share their lands.
