I am here to research the decision-making process around human-wildlife interactions, looking at the policies and interviewing decision-makers to see how they see the challenges and benefits of living with wildlife.

It’s vital to understand the implications that artificial water can have on species and ecosystems particularly in a time when human/wildlife interactions and global climate change are on the rise.

A complex mosaic of forests, national parks, agricultural fields, grazing lands and human settlements interspersed with diverse natural communities poses significant challenges for conservation in the Chobe district. Within this mosaic, the FRs are important habitats for threatened and endangered wildlife species such as eland, roan, and sable.

Nothing seems better than to relax by taking a casual drive through Chobe National Park… lush and full of vitality, glistening from the combination of rain’s dew and the sun’s rays peeking from building, bellowing clouds…

The EWB team has set out to look along the waters to see where elephants may be found… we had never seen the Boteti river flowing as it is and it seemed to bring a welcoming ambiance to its surroundings.

There is nothing like sleeping in the fresh Africa air, without a tent. The smells and sounds are intoxicating!

The river rose 2 meters in one day! We are experiencing surges of flood waters, which have been recorded as the worst since 1965,,. and we are receiving warnings that a second, higher surge is yet to come!
